Put It On - June

Looking out of our window under a sheet of weather more unpredictable than a spinning top after a few cheery ales, you could be forgiven for thinking it was a mid October afternoon. But, however, believe it or not summer is here. Not quite flourishing to our standards, but it is here nonetheless.

To reflect that, and hopefully to burst through the nasty overcast like a musical phoenix rising from the Soho ashes, we bring you our monthly list of cracking tunes…

Charlie: I was lucky enough to get to see Fat Boy Slim play at home in Brighton recently and the entire set was lovely, so I'd like to choose all of those tracks please. All squashed together in this wee mashup.

Chris: Came across this track while listening to my TOTA 'Mixcloud' and it is now definitely my favourite rendition of a classic hit.  Disappointingly not on Spotify so can't add it to the office playlist, but deserves to be listened to lots!

Katie: Myth by Beach House. It's not a new find but this song holds some warm memories of Primavera festival, Beach House were a highlight. Nostalgia always wins.

Celeste: Supersubmarina by Supersubmarina. Thanks to Spotify I bumped into a Spanish list with all the Spanish band that I love in one list, and trust me I don't like that many Spanish bands, so it was quite surprising to find the best ones together in one list. Supersubmarina, from my town, was on that list too, so was a pleasure to come back to my roots for a little while :-)

Patrick: Somebody to Love by Frank Turner. Obviously not a new song, but in all honesty this is a nigh on perfect cover from the king of sing-a-long's.
