T’was the middle of August. While many of the industry were swept away on white sandy beaches, putitout remained strong at work. We had been called in by Anomaly to discuss the ins and outs of building the Converse Tumblr blog for their latest campaign entitled, “Do Converse Make Boots?'.
We had to overcome a number of challenges with the build of this customised them - implementing a fully functional infinite scroll bar, and sticky videos. Not to mention managing the file sizes of gifs being uploaded onto the blog. We also localised the site across two territories using IP lookup.
With the project finished, we can honestly say, that what was delivered was a very attractive and successful Tumblr blog, with an incredibly user friendly CMS to allow stress-free uploads of files. Traditionally putitout would have built a blog on Wordpress, however towards the end of working on Tumblr we found it a flexible platform, and would highly recommend it to develop on in the future for projects like this.
This was our first time working with Anomaly, and we like to think of as a rather pleasurable experience and if nothing else, by working with us, Anomaly have been added to our Christmas party list. Which is nothing to turn your nose up at!
The answer to the question is, yes, Converse do make boots.
