We work with the latest and greatest in cutting edge technology.
One of our areas of expertise is Emerging Commerce, changing the way customers make payments.
Broadly speaking, this is the ability to pay for goods and services efficiently and quickly using an application on your phone.
Here’s a handy example of where this will come in very useful:
-      You walk into your favorite restaurant and are seated, but it is busy…
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Instead of waiting you take out your phone and view the menu on your app.
-      You order your food and drink from the app, then once you’ve enjoyed the aforementioned food and drink, you can then pay on your app, either all at once or splitting it as you see fit, not forgetting to leave a tip.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â This automatically gives you a loyalty reward the next time you visit the establishment.
This is exists and we can make it for your restaurant, or any enterprise you may have.
We have delivered a number of these products and at the time of writing we have built aps that allow you to pay with your mobile in more than  1,700 retail outlets in the UK.
As a business we have witnessed the birth of both social and mobile and realise the value in these new channels is driven by adoption rather than by the technology itself. Â As a result we like to stay close to the word on the street so set out to conduct our own research into how this market is moving and what the public understanding of this technical advancement is.Â
To that end, last Friday afternoon putitout took to the streets with an app we built called Nativeye - to discover more about the who what and how of this technology… The results are interesting:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Of those retailers that we asked was split establishments that have loyalty schemes and those that did not, was a dead even, 50/50 split.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â However, only 19% of the retailers we asked could take payment from a mobile device.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â And furthermore only 30% of people asked having ever paid for something physical with their mobile phone.
-      The range of places that could do this was mainly coffee shops and takeaway eateries – with one restaurant Wahaca leading the way (thanks to our friends at Flypay).
It was a day well spent and highlighted the opportunity for increasing the prevelance of the technology, something we were pleased with (obviously).
Do get in touch if you'd like more information on how we can work with you to drive more revenue using mobile commerce.
