Our designer featured in .Net magazine!

It's been an excellent month for us! Outside of work committments, I was lucky enough to be afforded the opportunity of designing for .Net Magazine.

A good friend and long-time Ale 2.0 afficionado, @kaigani of Oxidant (a superb user-experience company) offered me a chance to work with him on the project.

.Net run a monthly feature called 'makeover', whereby readers submit their websites to be given a hypothetical makeover treatment. There were hundreds of submissions - drastically varying in quality, and even (gosh!) some 'professional' web-design outfits were trying their luck!

In the end, we plucked for The Robin Hood Pub. A popular Nottingham establishment, who religiously maintained their website and online social presence, but their offering was outdated and in need of some expert TLC.

We felt that it was a solid choice and a good challenge - to immediately present all the required information for both potential and regular customers, while retaining a community feel, and involving all their currently active channels.

You'll find it on the shelves of your nearest WH-Smiths (if my Mum doesn't beat you to it), pages 96-97, with an in-depth explanation of the reasoning behind the execution; written by @kaigani. For a stark overview, though, peep the before and after shots below...
