It got me thinking about the times I’ve defended Twitter and told stories of the real value that it has brought to me and to putITout, I thought I’d share.
Â
I joined to see what use it may be to bring business. Over the next 2 years it has brought that in spades as well as friends, colleagues and even our office.
Â
I started following agencies to get an insight as to the work they were up to and to give me an excuse to call. I soon realised that everyone on Twitter just wanted to meet each other so I went along toÂ
ale 2.0 where I met some great people like
@howmanygills,
@mrtomollerton and
@kidcapricious
Â
A few months later
@kidcapricious (AJ) came and set up the design department at putITout. Our first app job was a referral from the mobile correspondent at NMA, Alex Faber, on Twitter.  In May last year we moved into our supercool new offices, thanks to a referral from
@edfrench81.
Â
I can put a ££ number on the amount of business putITout has received through connections made through Twitter. It’s all good and it works for us, Twitter search is magic, try it out
here to see how good it is for finding new clients.
Â
In contrast, Facebook has brought me nothing but a reminder of how bad I am at keeping in touch with my “friendsâ€.
